Summer!

My Favorite Summer past time? Well, that's a hard decision! I love to do so many things in the Summer! I guess my favorite past time this year was hanging out with a couple of my dear friends.

We started a weekly tradition - plan on getting together on Friday or Saturday, basically if we miss Friday we definitely get together on Saturday! We don't get together to get all tired or hyped up. We get together to forget all the woes of work.

I know it sounds silly, but I've been told we "party" in weird places. We don't go to bars or sit in front of a TV, instead we decide who's house we're going to and who's bringing what wines.

I really enjoy hanging out at their house - they have a nice pond with a waterfall in their front yard and we sit on the deck listening to the bull frogs and the sound of the water. The tiki torches get lit for ambiance and the stereo get turned on to classic rock. They have the speakers that look like rocks that are absolutely cool and to hear Led Zepplin and Stevie Ray Vaughn coming out of them is so relaxing! Then, we talk about everything and marvel over how we seem to have similar issues. We laugh over stupid things and stare at the stars (in the country here we see so many stars it's beautiful) We drink homemade wines and the alcoholic discoveries of the week. Then we stumble around looking for chocolate and snacks. Laughing about who's stumbling the worst or who's scrambling their words. No worries, no tension, no strained conversation - even when we can't think of what to say we enjoy each others quiet moments (followed by lots of laughing and carrying ons)

Every now and then our quiet moments get interrupted by a "What is that?" The "What is that?" a couple of weeks ago turned out to be a possum lazily meandering it's way across their yard and back into the forest. Just mentioning the possum now sends all of us chuckling.

We laugh as the first glass gets poured, sometimes saying, "I've been waiting all week for tonight" While other time we talk about how this particular batch of wine was made and what was used - cherries, watermelon, grapes, peaches, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries... Then all the crashes, work or family turmoil, and stress and tension simply disappear.

I hope everyone enjoyed their quiet moments this summer and had a nice glass of wine in the quiet or with dear friends!

Hey folks!~ It's Saturday Night, Saturdays are big days for BlogDumps. We do all our featured reviews and the Saturday Night Dump posts. Wolfbernz spent most of the day working on different plug-ins for BlogDumps Bloggers. New themes and themes options were installed for all the users and we got a stats program installed so everyone can see where their traffic is coming from and how many people are reading their blog. Christmas snuck up fast this year. I seriously haven't done any shopping personally. I've done go in halves for a few presents that the guys picked out, but other than that... bubkiss. I know, I'm a procrastinator. I never wait this long to do my shopping.. ever... but this year I was so tied up with the new features at BlogDumps that I -- feel like I'm making excuses. Two of my dearest friends are coming home from Palm Springs. I absolutely can't wait for them to get here! Delaware is just not the same without them. The best part is that they are finally going to be here for Christmas! Yes, I'm rambling. I am a person who normally has a lot to say, but today I feel like I'm pulling for something to say..... Well, I already finished today's drink, with a little help that is, a nice bottle of Grove Street Trias red wine. You can read more about this wine at www.grovestreetwinery.com I strongly recommend you buy a case if you can, it's excellent. I discovered it first at a local wine tasting, I loved it from the first sniff. It's weird though because normally I can't stand the new "blended" wines and this blend of Cabernet Savignion and Merlot is absolutely perfect. The best part.... well the flavor is really the best part... is that the Grove Street winery supports organizations that better the lives of children and families in their area. How great is that?!? So, I'm off to bed. Maybe next time I blog I'll have something to write about. LOL --Trina PS.. If you've seen anything weird on BlogDumps Bloggers, like pages not loading or weird error 404's, it's Wolfbernz fault. I gotta get him to stop coding! LOL
