Top Sites Tuesday #33 – Board Games

Monopoly.
I always wanted to be the hat (not sure why) and I always wanted to be the banker LOL. I think I just loved having all the money even if it wasn't mine!
Looking back though, it was a very educational game. We counted and managed our money, bought and rented or sold properties - it was all great life lessons. You know, why buy Kentucky Avenue if you could get Park Place?
Wolf was always trying to get me in jail.. LOL and then he would always end up in jail! HAHA
This brings such good memories back when we were all kids, sitting around the kitchen table just enjoying family time... does that happen anymore? I would make a cake or some cookies and brew some coffee and we would just laugh and carry on like there wasn't a problem in the world. I guess for that short period of time life was just a game. I miss that sometimes, life as we get older seems to become more difficult. Maybe we should take some time out to pull out the old games turn off all the tv's and computers and just have some good 'ole fashioned fun!
Have a great Tuesday

Ah, Monopoly. It’s a great game that I played many times with my family when I was a kid, but I’ve never been over fond of it myself (but that’s just me, obviously, as it is now played worldwide with so many different versions!)
I suppose I enjoy games like Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble because of the extra ’skill’ element, but maybe if I’d paid more attention to the nuances of Monopoly I’d have less debt today!!
Great post, here’s your click,

I remember play Monopoly. I don’t remember which one I was, could have been the hat, I just can’t remember that far back. It was fun to play.

LOL! I love Monopoly, too. Don’t you just love passing GO and collecting $200? If only the money was for real…haha…

My sentiments exactly as far as bringing back simplicity and fun into our life. Thank god for kids!
Btw, do you know the hat and everything else from sets our time were so much heavier and better quality than now? I can’t get over that – toys seem to have deteriorated in quality over time or is it just happening in this part of the world only just to keep them affordable?
