Top Sites Tuesday #35 – Three Things I am Thankful for This weeks topic limitation is something to be thankful for. I really could go on and on about things I feel thankful for! It's obvious that I am thankful for friends and family, my house, my pets, my blogging friends... here's a list of 3 things I'm thankful for: 1)My Laptop - how else would I be able to lounge on the couch, outside on the deck or travel in the car and not miss a beat on my blog? Right now I'm actually in the car writing my post at KFC! LOL! Granted I might be more thankful for it if my battery lasted all day - the mad dash for an outlet to plug into is sometimes rather annoying for me and humorous for my family. 2)I am thankful that the neighbors house sold - they are gone and now I have a really nice young couple living next door - and they are cleaning up the fields and trees on their new farm! No more ugly, over grown horse pastures! I think the old neighbors are pretty thankful for that one too - the up-keep on a 20 acre horse farm is impressive. 3)Coffee - If I didn't have coffee, how else would I wake up in a decent mood. Just the simple pleasure of the aroma of a fresh brewing pot is alluring enough to get me out of bed in the morning (Oh and I'm thankful for Autobrew coffee pots) Happy Tuesday! --Trina

Top Sites Tuesday #34 – Two Random Things About Yourself Everything about me is random! LOL 1- I like to do things at home that are considered simple. Cooking, cleaning, relaxing in the quiet of a clean house. I know it sounds "Suzy Home Maker" but I love cooking for my family and friends. Big meals like Thanksgiving are a welcome challenge! I specialize in Mexican food - my family will vouch for that one (especially for my Enchiladas)! 2- In my house I am the voice of reason. I play the opposite side of the fence, outside the box roll a lot. I have always felt that in order to see things for what they are you should look at them as though it's not an issue you are having, but an issue that someone else is having. When you take emotions out of the equation, you always arrive at the best decision. and just for fun, here's a post of 100 Things About Me I wrote back in December of 2007 (it might need to be updated)! Top Sites Tuesday #33 – Board Games Monopoly. I always wanted to be the hat (not sure why) and I always wanted to be the banker LOL. I think I just loved having all the money even if it wasn't mine! Looking back though, it was a very educational game. We counted and managed our money, bought and rented or sold properties - it was all great life lessons. You know, why buy Kentucky Avenue if you could get Park Place? Wolf was always trying to get me in jail.. LOL and then he would always end up in jail! HAHA This brings such good memories back when we were all kids, sitting around the kitchen table just enjoying family time... does that happen anymore? I would make a cake or some cookies and brew some coffee and we would just laugh and carry on like there wasn't a problem in the world. I guess for that short period of time life was just a game. I miss that sometimes, life as we get older seems to become more difficult. Maybe we should take some time out to pull out the old games turn off all the tv's and computers and just have some good 'ole fashioned fun! Have a great Tuesday --Trina
