My Favorite thing about Fall is EVERYTHING!! I love just about everything about Fall - the cool crisp mornings, the warm afternoons.
Fall Festivals - Here we have Apple Scrapple and Punkin' Chunkin' in Bridgeville, Delaware, and the Autumn Wine Fest in Pemberton Park near Salisbury, Maryland, I've never missed a year going to one of these!

The changing colors of all the leaves. What an awesome display of natures art. When the mountain sides and the edges of fields all turn colors it's amazing! I think the coolest part is that every year the trees are completely different - no two autumns look the same!
The very best thing about autumn is that for me it starts the holiday season - Halloween!! I can't wait to see all the inventive costumes this year!! I wounder what the most popular costume will be... Obama maybe?
Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Top Sites Tuesday #26 – When I get home, I like to…

Space out.
Seriously, when I get home I like to kick off my shoes, grab something to drink, sit on my couch and spend 20 minutes in total mindless space. Then I go about my routine of searching the fridge and figuring out what I'm cooking for dinner followed by cleaning and more "Spacing out"
Don't laugh - I'm not kidding! After a hard day of stress and thinking and more stress - some spacing is just what I need to put things right again
Ok, so sometimes I never make it inside and I stop on the porch to pet the farm dog and complain to her about everything - I used to talk to the horses, but they are long since gone - she's a good listener too, as long as I'm petting her.
And sometimes I never get to space out at all, I come home with purpose and intend to 'get things done' Those things normally are cleaning, laundry, dinner, feed pets, followed by a shower and my favorite Showtime Programs --- side note: The new season of Dexter starts on Sunday WOO-HOO!!!
Ok, so have I rambled enough? Did anyone follow that? I suppose I should start doing my posts in one sitting instead of multiple sittings LOL!
Happy Tuesday Everyone!!

My Favorite Pet
Well, I've had a lot of pets from cats to lizards to dogs and wolves to cows and horses to Parrots and ferrets. It's a VERY difficult thing to choose only one!
I can, however, tell you one of my least favorite... cows. Cows are nothing more than 500 pound wrecking balls that are always dirty and stampede and break everything. I do mean everything. We sold our lovely cows to a local butcher - my family wouldn't eat beef for 2 years after that. Every time we went to a steak house we all got chicken cause someone would make the comment, "This could be Daisy." *sigh* Good thing we all got over that!
Ok, so back to my favorite animal... I guess my favorite would be Woofy, my timber wolf.
Woofy is my favorite because no one snuggles better or makes you feel better when you are low. He always looks at you like he totally gets it - "I understand Nina." Woofy is a bit of a moron though. When let to run free, he runs with wild, unstoppable instinct. In the house, he's perfect. I do yell at him to get out of my kitchen when I'm cooking (more for his safety) and he'll back-up to the threshold and lay there with one paw defiantly in the kitchen watching me cook, waiting for me to throw him the random cooled off taste test. At night, he always beats me to my landing spot... it's like he knows whether I'm going to chill on the couch or go to bed. And when I get up in the morning, after his morning walk, after I make the bed and get ready for work, I walk back by and find that bum on my bed, head on the pillow, looking at me like, "Just leave me here I promise I'll be right here when you get home" FYI I fell for that once... the garbae did not survive a bored wolf.
When we got him there were 7 or 8 other pups to choose from. Woofy stood out because at 4 weeks old he marched up to his father and started stuff. LOL He just walked right up and bit him in the leg - "I can take you" His dad of course put him in his place, but you could see the alpha-male in Woofy right away. It's crazy, I know, the alpha-males are supposed to be the hardest to deal with - but that's what we wanted.
As he grew up we had to teach him when it was time to rough-house and when it was time to be calm. He had a bit of an issue with it at first, but now, it doesn't take much to go from a quiet moment to a roll around romp. Despite what anyone might say, wolves need that and you better be able to play hard. Woofy kinda cheats sometimes by getting a hold of the back of my jeans and dragging me around a bit, kicking and screaming (sheer glee, not scared being killed screaming) of course it helps him when the guys in the house jump in and help Woofy attack - It's a family affair LMAO.
Well, it's off to work for me. Oh, I almost forgot I need to put some pictures here!

I actually thought I had more, hmm I will have to take some better pictures this afternoon and post them here!
