So Much to Say!

I work with a bunch of guys.  Being the hard-rocker that I am, I work best and most efficiently with a little Metallica, Korn, or Alice in Chains playing.

They bought me headphones....

Now, I listen to the 60's and country music and even a little "Pop"  - but GOD FORBID I ask them to listen to a little Godsmack!

So I thought it would be a "Happy medium" to listen to 90's grundge... you know, some of the softer Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Dave Matthews Band.  Then  - Low and Behold! - the other morning Dave Matthews was on the morning show and one of the Guys had the nerver to say, "I really don't like this" followed by "I can't believe how young some of the people in the crowd are"

Ok, now I know that some people can't handle even soft Nirvana (to me Fourth of July isn't the same without a little "Lake of Fire" - OH now there's a post for another day) but Dave Matthews?  Are you kidding me?  They're  Jazz, Rock, Blues, Soul, R&B, pop and soft rock all in one.  They're easy to listen to with meaningful songs... ARG!

Check out this link to listen some Dave Matthew's - I recommend songs like "Ants Go Marching" "Satellites" and "So Much to Say" but their new stuff is good too!

Why can't people be more accommodating and open minded?  If I can ignore that country music is all about getting drunk and crying over a beer and if I can ignore that all 60's music is folky, why can't people accept and listen to something a little harder?  LMAO You really don't have to answer that!

Anyway, thanks for listening to my rambling - have a great evening!

LOL…I’m with you, Trina! Not mad about hard rock…at least not for all my listening pleasure but I enjoy Dave Matthews! One of my favourite singles was Pearl Jam’s “Daughter” (and I was celebrating something like four decades when that was released..hahaha!). I do have to add, though…60’s is good, Country is fine, I’ll listen happily to Brubeck, Miles Davis, Brazilian jazz. and ‘adult contemporary’. Ummm…just give me music!
